chairs

does your furniture say anything about you? Mine does. Take these for example. They shout, boring and beg to be placed in a church foyer somewhere. They also say, "bought on sale" and "go on a diet". These are my living room chairs. The only thing I loved about them was their price tag and we needed something to "balance the living room" when we were trying to sell our TX cottage last year.
These are the chairs my heart wants. They say "I am comfy and fun" and "Creativity welcome here". They are not my chairs....
but....
I wonder? could I recover mine and make them chairs to love?
Stay tuned.

Yes! You can do it! It would be so cute and fun. You could also paint the wood if you wanted...

check out www.designspongeonline.com. They have examples of things that have been redone all the time. Look under "before and after" or "DIY". Lot's of great ideas. Beware...it's addicting!

The chairs are a year old. She doesn't like anything that looks "old".

I'm going to disagree with you "anonymous". She bought them under duress because they fulfilled a purpose, not because she loved them. I can totally relate. If she can do something to them that makes them something she loves, for a not unreasonable amount of money, why not?
