quandry

We had a drive by showing yesterday. We got a call that the people were in the drive way (which they weren't but they must have been two houses down because it didn't take long). It was 5:30ish and we had just headed in from the pool. I quickly shooed everyone back out and started running around to clean whatever I could in the 2 minutes I had. Unfortunately we had Lucy's friends over today and had some toys out...and it was after school so there was homework and book bags out...and it was almost dinner so there were ingredients out. The beds were made and I did get to wipe the bathroom counters. I was inside and opened the door and said hi, then turned to go out and join the kiddos. What did I see out our big windows? Lucy and Brother peeing side by side in the bushes by the pool. (a practice we DONOT condone BTW) Great. What a wonderful impression.
Well, anyway, I am at the end of a really fun book "East" that I would have finished last night but fell asleep so today I have a quandary in front of me: finish the book or clean first. If I was a woman of better character I would totally clean....but

I'm laughing about the peeing, too. Funny stuff.

I would read. That's just me, though. ;o)

I would read- unfortunately- true. Even though I know I should clean. You could set a timer and clean for like an hour- then reward yourself by reading at least that long :)

*giggle*

Unfortunately, cleaning isn't my top priority. I would choose a good book anyday!

When we had a drive-by showing, the house was a tad messy, but the man put an offer on the house and bought it. (I was enormously pregnant with #3 and by the time I answered the door I was sweaty from running through the house trying to tidy up ....)

Reading would definitely win out in these situations. A nice book, a cool lemonade, and a sit out in the sun would be perfect. ;o)
